Introduction

So far this toolkit has explained the role of accessibility planning and has introduced a number of methods that can be used to identify local accessibility issues. It has also given advice and guidelines for setting up partnerships to identify and address these issues. This chapter introduces the role of indicators and targets and describes how they can be used to help you to better understand the problems you face and to monitor progress in addressing these problems.

The Skills Resources 15, Defining Indicators and Skills Resources 16, Using Trend Data to Set Targets will be particularly useful when working through this chapter.
